Great product! Eufy is taking this industry by storm. Smart folks- and I appreciate their customer-focused, legit, home security tools. I snagged this gem as an add-on at it’s introductory price of $99, and it has exceeded my expectations! No more false alarms like the previous “well-known” brand I had! You choose the sensitivity level, of course, but unlike Ri *ahem* the aforementioned “well- known” brand, you also get to set the detection zones and types of alerts (human vs. all motions) desired. And it works!! Extraneous detections are filtered based on your preferences so that notifications aren’t piling in when the random bird, butterfly, raindrop, car, etc. enters the detection field (unless you want them to?). The facial recognition is the crowning glory! I mean, we all want to know WHO took that highly anticipated Amazon delivery off the porch, right?! The two-way communication (to stop those same porch pirates in their tracks) is golden! Pairs easily with Alexa plus the HomeBase will “chime” if you want it to – so there is NO need for an additional chime (Eufy’s add-on chime only works with the wired method-but unnecessary regardless) if you are operating on the wireless battery method. *You won’t regret this purchase.*Familiarize yourself with the app, device settings & capabilities, and programing your security profiles (you can even reference articles Eufy provides in the app for helpful tips). IMO, this beats the heck out of the competition-all of them, and keep in mind, the occasional lack luster review could easily be attributed to users not maximizing device capabilities.

I really like the This camera system. I’ve got four cameras now one of the front door at three looking at all sides of our property. What I like most about this camera system is the clarity of the video the storage and the ease of retrieval as well as the way the system stores only on SD card memory, not some big brother site with monthly fee. The motion detection is perfect and is easy to define on each individual camera. The system works well at night and being able to communicate through the cameras audio is fantastic. I have not had any problems with the app and was pleasantly surprised with the consistency. The only thing I would ask them to change is the fact that the number of motion events can be erased inside the app, but the running total of events is on the main icon and does not reset. Battery life is amazing. I upgraded the included SD card to a 128 gig Level 10, 100 gig speed and it works great. I install security cameras and AV equipment for a living, and this is one of the best performing systems I have used. Kudos to Eufy for a great design and GUI that really works.

I researched several doorbells and went with Eufy because they do not require you to purchase a monthly subscription. The doorbell is super easy to install. While this is a battery-powered wireless doorbell you can also hook it up to your existing wires so you do not have to charge the battery, this is very slick. The wiring was not tricky at all, you simply connect the 2 wires to the back of the doorbell. The picture, night vision, and view angle are incredible. I connected this doorbell two a 2 camera Eufy 2C Pro camera system. The app and installation are super easy to follow and the number of customization options for scheduling and options within the app works flawlessly. It is super easy to change the settings, notifications, schedule, etc. Make sure you update the firmware for the doorbell within the app when you go to install. I have only had the doorbell for 2 weeks and it has blown away my expectations.

When Eufy finally made this doorbell compatible with the Homebase 1 I added to my 3 camera system that I bought on the 2018 Kickstarter campaign. It functions perfectly well, paired easily with the Homebase, and is replacing me porch camera, which will be moved to the back door. The only weakness I’ve found in the system is the occasional connection drop to the Application Server. I understand they use AWS, so I don’t know whether the problem is with Eufy or Amazon. Seems like it happens once a month, usually for a few hours. When I couldn’t connect for days, I checked with Eufy and found they hadn’t updated me Homebase firmware. They updated it and the problem went away, until the next connection problem which was systemwide for a few hours. Overall I’d give the cameras 5 stars, but only 4 stars for the overall system due to server outages. BTW, the battery life between charges is really a year unless it’s in a high traffic area. My garage camera first charge lasted “only” 8 months, but at the time I was getting 40-50 recordings/day. Since that tenant moved, battery life is similar to the other cameras, at least 12 months.

I can’t believe I waited so long to get this, literally one of the easiest set ups I’ve gone through. Plugged the home base into my router, linked the doorbell camera, once linked I installed the doorbell and I instantly had security. Really happy with the ease of setup, even happier with the performance. Picked people up as soon as they start towards the front door. I added another camera on the corner of the house for overlap coverage. Using the app is super easy, not only when someone comes up to the house, but also if I want to view/monitor on demand. The best thing is I don’t pay for monitoring, I have complete access to everything on the home base and can access any recording from anywhere from my phone. The piece of mind I now have is immeasurable. I’ve had nothing but excellent results with this.

I’ve had a few of the Eufy cameras for about 6 months now, so I was very happy to see that I could purchase the doorbell without having to purchase a second Homebase. Setup only took a few minutes. After that it was just playing with all the settings to get the motion detection sensitivity and monitoring zones set up. I also love that I could add a few pre-recorded messages for when someone rings the doorbell (think Ferris Bueller).Overall no problems, easy set up, easy to use. Would definitely recommend.

What I like: Very sharp video, microphone pics up sound very well, human recognition mode nearly flawless and have only had two alerts to non-human movement in the six months it’s been installed, easy installation and synchronization with the home base, great amount of options for customization preferences, very fast response from the time it detects until it notifies you (95% of the time), and it was a good infrared lighting system when needed.Issues so far after six months: I clicked the live view one time while I was out of town and then decided to click out of it and just watch the recorded video of someone who had left a package. It was taking awhile to load as I had spotty cell service where I was and so I clicked back out and then on live view. This confused the doorbell and it took itself offline. When I got home that day, I could not get the doorbell to recover no matter what I did according to both the instructions or a message board for Eufy. I decided to remove the batteries from the device (which you need a jeweler’s screwdriver to do) for 30 seconds, and then I put it all back together. That solved the issue and it hasn’t happened since. The batteries are only lasting about 2 months but my house has a very high volume of in and out traffic, so I don’t necessarily think it’s a issue, but just to show what the rate is, I have about 10-20 instances of people going through that door a day.I have friends with the other brands and no matter what brand they have, they think theirs is the best and that may be. However, I’m very happy with this system and have added other Eufy cameras to the system and am very pleased with them all.

Eufy’s battery powered 2k doorbell has a better Sony nighttime sensor vs their hardwired version. Additionally, the battery powered version CAN be hardwired and, unlike Eufy’s dedicated hardwired version, will work with an existing doorbell OR digital chime (if u have a chime, like I do, you must install the diode from your existing doorbell across the power connections – the diode keeps power flowing long enough to play the chime…I set a 5 second time in the doorbell app and it works perfect).I setup a detection zone in the app and set motion to “all” instead of only people, and this has filtered out passing cars even with the sensitivity set at 6 of 7. Day and night images are clear, and you can zoom-in when live-streaming. Push notifications have been almost instantaneous <1 second. Wifi signal is max and no dropped signals yet.Time will tell. So far so good.

Honestly, I was skeptical of a name that wasn’t Ring, ATT, or whatever other fancy security company that charges you an arm and a leg for when I started looking for security devices. But, by recommendation from a coworker who had outfitted nearly his entire Air BNB with Eufy. I figured I’d give it a try.I have never been so happy to step out of my comfort zone on something that offers protection for my family.I have five outdoor Eufy Pro2C cameras, the deadbolt lock (wifi, key, fingerprint, and touchpad), the doorbell (wifi, battery powered), an Indoor Tilt and Pan, the vacuum, four door sensors, a motion detector, and the keypad. You can say I’m a vested believer.I waited until after I’ve used the products for 4 months to leave a review, and honestly none of them disappointed. The doorbell works perfectly. I have it integrated with my Alexa and when someone rings it, all of my Alexas chime, and any of them with screens turn on and show me who’s at the door. I love it. It’s even a motion detector. So anytime something is going on within the range, an unwanted solicitor, a package delivery, friends arriving, it will notify me even if they didn’t press the doorbell. I installed in where the previous doorbell was, so it’s hardwired and never needs to be charged.I highly recommend it, but choose your spot carefully. It will be where you see people, or don’t see people, for the remainder of its time. Too high and you won’t see a kid, too low and you can’t see the face of the person bending down to touch the doorbell.Otherwise, it captures little pictures of humans and puts that at the bottom of the video. Which is very convenient for immediately spotting whether or not there is a need to be concerned with who’s at the door.

I took the plunge and bought the 2c pro kit that came with a homebase 2 so I could just buy this doorbell as an add on. I hard wired the doorbell into the existing doorbell wires so I never have to worry about charging the doorbell, plus as an added bonus, when you press the doorbell it WILL ring my existing mechanical chime. I debated between this version and the wired only version and it came down to the ability to keep using my mechanical chime, which the wired version as far as I know, would require me to use the plug in digital chime. This thing picks up motion perfectly on my front door, works, and is easy to access the footage. I killed the modem to see if it worked when the WiFi was down and it continued to record and send to the homebase, which is nice.I ended up buying a 3d printed mount to accompany the one provided for my vinyl siding so it sits flush and looks sleek. I highly recommend anyone adhering it to vinyl siding to consider buying the mount on Etsy.
