UPDATE: Commendable Customer Service ExperienceIn early Jan 2021, my beloved robot stopped connecting to my home network. I worked with support, confirmed I was on a dedicated 2.4 GHz frequency and it still would not connect. The Eufy Support Staff escalated my ticket to the Eufy Technical Staff and I promptly received a message (even during the pandemic). Arina from Eufy Technical Staff was professional, responsive, and deeply cared about fixing the problem. It was a personalized experience complete with follow-up to ensure the problem was resolved. Makes me feel more comfortable shopping again with Eufy knowing that the company is willing to stand behind their product if issues do arise and provide a commendable customer service experience. THANK YOU, Arina!Original ReviewPROS:- Incredibly quiet compared to other vacuum robots- Low profile (i.e., height) allows it to get under all of my furniture- Ability to choose the suction modes- My cat doesn’t seem to mind it- Ability to activate with voice via Alexa skill- No problem transitioning throughout rooms and different floor surfaces- Finds its way back home without my help- Mostly straight carpet lines make me mentally happy- Gets under furniture that is hard to vacuum underCONS:- It humps my livingroom lamp that has a low profile base just like any other robo vac would- It’s unclear to me what the exact difference between max and turbo suction modes are- Unclear to me the exact microns of filtration the filter offersBackground: I own a Dyson upright vacuum, Dyson stick vacuum, and mopping bot. All 3 were run two days before letting this little wonder make his debut. The Eufy picked up where these did not.Looking forward to effortlessly clean floors on a daily basis!

Mr. Wood –
I purchased this at the pre-order price. What made me pull the trigger was Anker is a reputable company with great products, and it featured a brush-less motor; which makes it run very quiet compared to the competition. This is my first foray into robot vacuums, and I am not disappointed. I read online that robot vacuums are essentially dumb the first week as they are mapping out the house for the first time. It couldn’t find the charging dock during that time frame. Fast forward 2 months later and this thing cleans a 2600+ sqft home in 90 minutes on one charge. The cleaning area it covers is only 1000ft with furniture. Finds the charging dock every time. We have it nicknamed as Knight Rider and it will start and stop cleaning when voice prompted through Alexa. Twice a week it comes on for a scheduled cleaning and it will finish right before my wife gets home. Happy spouse, happy house. I love it so much I’m buying it for my family come Christmas time, and will stick with this product line for the foreseeable future.

Update 8/9:Anker contacted me and gave me a replacement robovac that was a bit taller. The customer service is unmatched. It’s why I continue to use their products. Love the new robovac! 5 stars for their customer service.I REALLY REALLY wanted to love this. I purchased the promo code before release. I absolutely enjoy the quality of Anker products. HOWEVER, this just didn’t work out for me. It gets stuck partially under my couch in certain places and it gets stuck under part of my cabinet in the bathroom. It works really well aside from that & makes VERY LITTLE noise. Wish I could stop it from going certain places. :’(

There are many small improvements to the previous generation of Eufy – the power button is now located on the side instead of the bottom, the buttons on top are actual buttons instead of surface buttons (that always got pressed while you were emptying), there is only one side brush instead of two so cord tangles seem less frequent, the double hinge design of waste/air filter is gone (air filter is accessible from main waste bin) and the unit seems a little quieter while vacuuming. The biggest new feature is of course the mapping and methodical vacuuming vs complete randomness. Overall – it does a much better job than the last generation. I swear the first generation had a human sensor and would roll immediately to whatever room I was in to constantly bump into my feet! This one attempts to vacuum in long straight overlapping lines. The app will display a “map” of your floor in real time as the vacuum travels around. This mapping requires some processing time during vacuuming though – it will pause for a second or two after hitting a wall or piece of furniture before it turns around and continues. Because of this frequent pausing, it seems to cover slightly less ground than the original – it couldn’t quite finish my 1000 sq ft floor before it had to return to base. It operated for about 90 minutes and covered 940 sq ft before it ran out of charge. I did notice that there was a feature in the app that will allow it to recharge and finish the floor – that’s a nice feature that I’ll probably turn on. The mapping of the floor isn’t remembered – so every day is a new day. It seemed to take a completely different route the second day of vacuuming. I have no idea what would happen if I picked it up and placed it in a different room – hopefully it doesn’t trigger a self destruct mechanism.

This is my first robot vacuum, and I don’t know why it took me so long. This one is very easy to operate and schedule cleanings using the app! The battery lasts a long time. My home is mostly hardwoods with some low pile area rugs, and the robovac runs for approx. 115 minutes before needing to recharge. It seems to clean in a methodical pattern compared to others I’ve seen, and I haven’t noticed it missing any areas. It only got caught in cords once (but that’s my own fault). It did well navigating past the stairs. One of my favorite features though is how slim it is. I measured the floor clearance of my furniture and realized other popular brands wouldn’t fit. This one is perfect! I do empty the bin and clean the brushes after every use (personal preference) and have noticed my house seems cleaner. I highly recommend the RoboVac G30!

Rob is my roommate. He is the best I’ve had. He cleans up the floors on a schedule, he doesn’t bother me with charging batteries and doesn’t require me to break my back vacuuming. Rob did get stuck under the cabinet from time to time ( and gave up the mission) but we worked it out so that he can’t squeeze his way under there anymore and now it’s great. I can tell Rob to do his job while I’m at work. And he also jumps from the hardwood floors to the bathroom rugs with no problem. He is now considered family.

Pros:- Fits under out couch and some other furniture, which previously served as home to herds of dust buffalos.- Does fine climbing over transitions (carpet & flooring types)- Is quieter than our upright Shark vacuum, so I’m able to run it first thing in the morning/at night when others are sleeping.- Doesn’t crash into furniture or trim like I do when I manually vacuum.- The app works well.Cons:- Occasionally seems to get confused and goes over the same area several times…usually under table around chair legs.Other comments:- We have fairly dark wood floors and this model works fine.- We track in quite a bit of sand, have a messy toddler, and a small dog who sheds fairly regularly. I usually empty the bin daily, but it would be fine for a couple days.- Does great at keeping carpets clean, but still need to regularly vacuum occasionally to deep clean.

This thing is awesome! This was our first robot vacuum. I had done a ton of research and watched a lot of videos before making this purchase. So I knew what I wanted, but this met and exceeded all expectations.1. It’s way quieter than I thought. It’s hard to imagine what the noise will be like because you normally think of the sound a vacuum makes. This is much much quieter. We have no problem watching a movie as this thing moves around.2. We have an Australian Shepherd that sheds constantly. The hair gets sucked up easily. It will eventually clog the roller. But it’s very easy to remove and clean. It even comes with a cool tool that makes cutting the hair super easy.3. It only has a single bristle thing that spins. But the robot knows it’s on the right side and once it finds the walls, it makes sure to hit the edges with that brush.4. It was also important that it didn’t just randomly bump into things because that’s annoying and not very efficient. As it learns it goes in a perfectly straight line and slows before getting up to the wall. Perfect.I love this thing and it’s made a huge difference already!

PROS:1) The short story: I love it. I’m shocked at what this picks up in my home every day. EVERY DAY. It’s nearly a full compartment of dust/dog hair.. I’m honestly blown away.. where does it all come from? My house looks and feels so much cleaner now all the time with almost zero effort.2) MAPPING: I specifically waited to buy one that had an app and a mapping feature and wouldn’t wander in circles aimlessly. It’s satisfying to see it travel back and forth in neat lines and then see the map of the house and where it has cleaned, and to be able to control it remotely with the app.3) SUPPORT: Eufy support is responsive and helpful (support@eufylife.com, or use the live chat option) and the reps seem to genuinely care about the customer experience, which makes me feel more confident about continuing to have Eufy vacs in the future.. especially as long as the company stays competitive with it’s features/price points.4) PRICE POINT: I read a lot of consumer reviews/lists of best reviewed vacuums since I first started thinking about getting one of these and Eufy came up on top a lot. And, their products are competitively priced in general. I did get a discount for being an early purchaser of this model, but I think the regular price is reasonable, and these things do go on sale frequently, and this one will too.CONS:1) MAPPING: It does not remember it’s own map day to day, and starts over each time. It would be nice if you could save areas and direct it to certain rooms/etc. However, this is not a feature of this model (on an email with Eufy support I was told the L70 Hybrid model has a ‘laser navigation system’ with a radar that scans the room and saves a more accurate map.)2) GOING HOME TO RECHARGE: It has yet to return to it’s base on it’s own for me, since once I notice it revisiting the same area it has already cleaned I send it home. And, then…. it has a very hard time finding home if it’s not in the same room.. I sometimes end up carrying it back to it’s room to speed up the process. This is a bit annoying honestly.Neutral observations:1) TUMBLEWEEDS: in a 1000-sq-ft space with tiled flooring and a few rugs, at first I noticed it blowing a lot of doggie hair tumbleweeds around on the tile, but as it’s gotten on a daily schedule it does a (really good) job keeping them at bay.2) OBSTACLES/RUGS: it does a fine job climbing on top of rugs, thresholds, etc. Though it doesn’t have a problem with short/1 inch rug fringe, it will have a problem with longer (3″) rug fridge, be aware (probably true with all robot vacs). There is also a nice suction setting: ‘Boost IQ,’ which will automatically adjust suction power in between hard flooring/carpet, etc.3) LONG HAIR: households with long haired-inhabitants need be aware hair will get wrapped around the roller brush piece and need removal. I suspect this is standard with robot vacuums, and Eufy includes a handy razor+comb tool to cut through the hair and it’s not a big deal, but has to be done probably every couple uses/inspect when emptying the dust trap. If it’s not kept up with it does have a harder time keeping rugs/carpeting clean, I notice.

I thought it was time to upgrade my old eufy.. And wow am I in love! Not only is this model so much more quiet then my old one or anyone elses robovac that I’ve seen, but it’s hella smart! It actually maps out my apartment, cleans in a smart way and not (drive hit wall turn drive hit wall). Oh also never got stuck once, which my other would at least 5 times during a session. Money well spent!
