I purchased this to keep an eye the cat when traveling, during a prime day sale. My main requirement was there be no subscription fee and no privacy-invading connections to the cloud (especially not Ring, Amazon, or Google). I was pleasantly surprised that the phone app and user interface is actually really good, and the motion/object recognition feature works perfectly. I would remind people that no microSD card is included, which you need in order to save clips, and the camera is a little fussy about SD card quality. Buy SanDisk or something and not “random cheap brand”. To Eufy, I suggest, throw in a 64GB SD or something, I think these are cheap enough you could do that without hurting your cost competitiveness and the product would be just that more user friendly.

NOTE: I have been using WyzeCams for almost 2 years now, so my review will be heavily revolving around that comparison.I was looking to upgrade due to the fact that Wyze – against numerous customer requests – has zero intentions of making their cameras compatible with Apple HomeKit. Also, I was over dealing with all the little quirks that came with using WyzeCams (random disconnections, tiny bugs with every firmware update etc.), I don’t need special face detection or pet detection features – for my usage all really I need is streaming video and motion notifications. After looking into what my options were I decided to try the Eufy 2k Indoor Camera since it is HomeKit compatible. The 2K camera is made of plastic, but it has a better finish to it compared to other cameras, with a simple, understated but nice looking modern design. Installing the 2k camera is like most others; inside the package you get the camera, a micro USB cables and a standard USB AC power supply. Installation hardware is included, and I like how the camera features a detachable base plate that makes positioning the camera much easier if it’s being wall-mounted. After installing the camera, I downloaded the Eufy security app from the App Store and fired it up.First of all, pairing the 2k camera within the Eufy app literally took seconds to do, and I was up and running in no time. Second (and more importantly) I could see that the Eufy’s 2k video quality was much, much clearer than WyzeCams lower-quality HD video. The “live view” video streaming on the 2k was crisp, smooth and never choppy (something that anyone who has used Wyzecams will tell you does happen regularly). Response was quick as well, whenever I went into the camera view it connected with no problem. I have the 2k camera in the exact same location as a WyzeCam that would on occasion take 5-10 seconds to connect to. Speaking of the Eufy app, it has a similar layout when compared to the Wyze app so learning my way around didn’t take much time to get used to. I did notice though that when compared to the Wyze app interface, the Eufy app felt much more polished and complete. The best features though for me so far are related to Apple’s HomeKit and the Home app. Before, I had to open the Home app to check the status or control any of my smart home products (lights, fans, etc.) and then open the Wyze app separately to check all the Wyze cameras. Because the Eufy 2k Indoor camera is HomeKit compatible, I could now see the camera’s live feed directly from the Home app! Also, because the Eufy 2k works with Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video, I know all of my video footage is more secure and stored privately. Honestly, I didn’t realize how much of an issue having to open multiple apps was until I had the means to view and control everything within one central app on my phone, and HomeKit compatibility makes this possible. So if you’re looking for a HomeKit compatible camera that has excellent features, excellent video quality, and effortless setup, the Eufy 2k indoor camera is an awesome choice. Granted, I am still not through trying out all the other features this camera has (person or pet detection, etc.) but as of this writing, I am already a happy customer. I actually went and ordered a second Eufy 2k Indoor camera to replace my other WyzeCam V2, and I’m already planning on buying their 2K Indoor Cam Pan & Tilt cameras to possibly replace my WyzeCam Pans. As much as I liked the low cost and decent features that Wyze cameras gave me, upgrading to the Eufy 2k cameras was an eye-opening experience and a great choice after all. They are only marginally more expensive than Wyzecams but well worth the price!

I have two cameras, one I’m using indoor and another one outdoor. Yes I know it’s not rated for outdoor. but I decided to test it out and I’ve been using this camera for past couple of months with no issue !! Have 128gb card in there. Camera sits under the cover, I did taped over card slot and mic for water protection. I just used clear this Scotch tape. Camera set to continuous recording and it works every time. The audio constantly clipping when you stream mode, but if you viewing recording, audio sounds just fine. It’s happening on both cameras so I know it’s not my Scotch tape that I used. Outdoor camera went through summer of 100f and 90% humidity. This winder lowes was 27f. Camera never failed!

I have positioned it to look out the front window. The glass would interfere with the infrared light so I leave those off and use landscape lights outside to provide illumination at night. The resultant image is sharp and the notification is fast enough to catch whoever passes in front of the window. I have now placed one inside of each of the ground floor windows facing out. In some cases I added a black rubber lenshade around the camera to block out reflection or lights from behind. I highly recommend the Eufy Doorbells and indoor cameras! I have tried other brands and this is the only one that works extremely well at detecting humans.

I had low expectations before using this product, for $40, how good could it be? Most Ring cameras set you back three times the price or more, and alerting on those are spotty at best.Well, I’ delighted to say this product is solid in many ways, far exceeding my expectations. The setup is easy, intuitive, and won’t take long, just remember to purchase or supply a micro sd card for local storage. The picture quality is very good, despite the price, I feel like image quality is crisp and detailed. I can make out what is going on and can hone in on detail if I wanted to.Alerting and streaming are very solid as well, if an alarm goes off, it’s usually near instantaneous to get the live video feed up of what’s going on. This is where I was particularly impressed compared with my Ring doorbell. There are no “activation” nonsense going on for a live stream, you get right to seeing what is going on.My only complaint is a minor one, the night vision mode detected a person when it was light from a monitor shining on a poster. I submitted a ticket with the video to their sipport team and it’s been a few release cycles with no more false alarms like that.Overall, very solid product, I recently picked up a second one as I’ve been happy with this after a few months.

This camera is excellent and exceeds my expectations. I already have 2 other brands in use all around the house so I’m not new to security cameras. The set up is simple, and the product seems well made. The picture quality is excellent, motion detection works well (sensitivity can be adjusted), and audio recording is clear. There are many smart functions and customizable settings that are included for free. It is wired and for indoors only so you have to consider placement carefully. It connects directly to your WiFi without a base station. I use it with a 128GB microSD card and do continuous recording but the cloud storage option is also a bargain compared to other companies. I have no privacy concerns as some reviewers do. You can set schedules for when it will record and when it will detect motion. It would be nice if they could add a scheduling function for basic camera on/off. Overall, I highly recommend this camera.

Amazing little cameras! I switched from Wyze cams because they were unreliable and took forever to send notifications to my phone for motion events. These cameras are almost instant on the notification speed. I highly recommend these cameras to anyone looking.I have two (2) of these cameras mounted outside under the eaves. They have been outside for a couple months now with no issues. I used some electrical tape to tape up the holes and openings. I live in a cold climate and it has got into the below freezing temps with no issues. The quality is great and the motion sensitivity options are easy to fine tune.NOTE: There is one thing to note. The camera can record continuously to the SD card you put in it. The only caveat is that the continuous recordings will only be in 1080p quality. Only the motion events are recorded in 2K. Hopefully Eufy will update the settings to allow the user to select their continuous recording quality level and not just default to the 1080p.

There are thousands of reviews here but the one thing I didn’t see was whether you could place the camera on the edge of a counter or table and point it down towards the floor. I have attached pictures showing you can indeed do so. The base is not heavily weighted so I think the cord plays a small role in keeping it in place but it works fine. I haven’t had it tip over while it’s placed in the middle position demonstrated in my photos. In terms of features, this camera has loads of them and everything I would expect in one of these indoor cams. Since I have Eufy outdoor cams, it’s nice that this one integrates into the same app. These are solid replacements for Wyze cameras. Unlike Wyze though, there is no magnetic mount.TIP: I’ve noticed that it’s best to set the activity zone a bit smaller than the area you want to be detected. It tends to trigger just outside the zone you place.TIP 2: This camera has an alarm that will trigger on motion. I think it’s on by default so make sure you change that if you don’t want it going off when it detects motion. My dog got quite the surprise.

OK, I got this on sale for less than 30 bucks so really I have nothing to complain about. I own Wyze cams, Foscams, Amcrests, Dahuas, D-Link, Reolink etc. you name it. I have a fairly large (over twenty cameras) footprint of cameras at home and my #1 requirement (with the exception of the video doorbell) is RTSP or ONVIF compatibility. Believe it or not, this camera supports RTSP. I use it with Blue Iris though the cloud connectivity is great, as well. Side note on RTSP compatibility, the stream is not protected through a user ID and password. That’s problematic but less so if it is on your own private network and on a router that you trust.I also use the Eufy 2K video doorbell and both of these products are fantastic. Highly recommended, especially for beginners.

This is one of several Eufy cams (both indoor and outdoor) I purchased during Prime Day. I had considered the Amazon-branded ones, but after reading about their poor low-light performance and watching several YouTube videos comparing them to the Eufy line of cams, I decided to purchase Eufy. And after setting up and using the C24, I’m so glad I went with Eufy! The 2K resolution (which can be changed to 1080P in the app settings) is outstanding in good lighting, and better than average in low-light. I wanted this cam to keep an eye on our home gym which is an outbuilding about 20′ from the backdoor. I have high-speed internet and a wireless router with excellent coverage, so using this cam there was not an issue.Setup and use require the Eufy Security app. I installed the app and added the camera in about 10 minutes. I put in a 32GB microSD card and the app asked me to format the card, then gave me the option to do so in the app. The formatting was swift and soon I was recording onto it after entering my wifi password to connect the cam to my network.I put the cam through its paces in my office while plugged into a USB outlet on my desk and it worked as expected. I then used the included AC power adapter, and as expected it worked just fine with that too. The included cable is about 5′ long. The cam comes with a mount for the wall, and you can hang the camera from the ceiling too, with a way in the app to change the orientation 180 degrees – making recordings right-side-up even if the camera is upside down. You can also turn off the blue light on the front of the camera in the app, making it less likely that the camera will be seen if you’re hoping to have it less visible to others.I was impressed by the app and how easy it was to adjust all the capture and record settings including settings for the cam’s sensitivity, motion detection, sound, and when it would record. The ability to have it listen for crying, use two-way communication if needed, have the app notify me of the motion of a person; with a snapshot of the person’s face – making it easy to identify them, or animal, and the resulting recordings from the movement were all impressive. I found myself checking in on the “live” view, just marveling at the clarity!Low-light performance is better than my friend’s Blink cam, and I’m not concerned about having to pay a monthly fee. The C24 can accept up to a 128GB microSD card which can continuously record up to 12 days. Perfect for monitoring the interior of your home, and garages that don’t get super-hot or super-cold which can affect the camera’s performance.I’ve got an Eufy outdoor system coming and I’m excited to integrate those cams into the app to have views on all the important areas around my home.If you’re on the fence about getting this one, stop looking and just buy it. It’s excellent! Easy to set up with an intuitive app that’s easy to learn. No monthly fees and peace of mind with this gem of a security cam.
