TRUMP 2024 –
The camera plugs into an outlet so there is none of the battery nonsense to fool with. The app works seamlessly and pulls both my Eufy doorbell and this camera up on the same screen. Notifications are quick, install was a breeze and it does a perfect job detecting motion. The only negative is the price.

The C24 is an incredible camera. I got two for my parents to replace older Nest Outdoor cameras. The C24 offers a wide angle view, 2k resolution, includes a 32GB memory card for up to 60 hours of locally stored footage, and all of the advertised features like motion detection, the spotlight, etc., all work really well. The spotlight isn’t designed to fully illuminate an area; it just makes it bright enough to switch from IR night vision to color vision at night leveraging the awesome Sony Starvis sensor for clear looking images in low light. Setup was a breeze and the functionality in the app to define activity zones (up to 2 for this camera) works well. For example, waving flags that were a huge issue with the Nest cams haven’t been an issue whatsoever with these.A few minor cons: the cord is 20ft, so plan accordingly. Mounting hardware for the magnetic base is included, but no cable ties are included. These cameras do not integrate with the Eufy HomeBase. This makes sense to me honestly as they are outdoor always on/always recording cameras. You shouldn’t really need to set different modes for these cameras, but some people would want the tighter integration.

Great camera with excellent image quality (better than my commercial grade high quality recent 4MP NVR camera system where each camera costs 4 times as much than this Eufy), night vision, very wide field of view and very easy to mount with a very strong magnet (see the downside of this below) and long USB cable. During night, the spotlight is responsive and provides color night vision throughout my entire drive way. 2 way audio is also a great feature. The camera seems to be well weather sealed. Notifications are instant and it has so far a 100% person detection rate. There is a beta pet detection setting, which does not work for detecting cats in my experience – I do not know about larger pets. The camera worked great for a week or so and then started to behave weird: Every morning it remains stuck in a black and white mode, where it does not trigger any motion recordings and does not send any notifications. I just noticed it as I had people in the drive way, but did not get any notification. The video stream is still real-time, though – just in b/w. It happens sometimes during night and the only work around so far is to restart the camera. This happened now for several consecutive days. It is a camera issue, as I notice the same behavior on 2 iPhones and 2 iPads and none of my Indoor Cam 2k show this issue. Resetting is a strain, as I have to pull out a long ladder to get to the camera and to the reset button, which then requires to re-adjust the camera due to the magnetic mount, which would not be necessary with a fixed mount (this should really be provided in the box). There should also be a software option for resetting it rather than the physical button on the camera, where you also have to open the weather seal for the microSD card, which is not great when done on a frequent basis. I hope this will – and can be fixed soon. Right now it is completely useless for detecting intruders until, this is fixed. Therefore my generous 3 star rating, which I will have to drop to 1 star, if this cannot be fixed. Otherwise this is a solid 5 star device.UPDATE:Eufy technical support was very responsive replying within hours to my inquiry. They asked to send in video for analysis and within days shipped me a new camera for testing. However, this one had the same flaw and technical support pointed to a potential firmware issue and provided a new firmware 1.0.2.6 within 3 days! This one corrected this odd behavior and now the camera works perfectly. They even let me keep the original camera as well. I highly recommend this camera and should you require any technical help, the responsiveness of Eufy is just fantastic!

I recently bought the 2 wireless eufy cameras and they were absolutely horrible. The motion detectors would rarely detect and the battery hit 50% about 2 weeks after. I know Eufy’s motion detection isn’t bad because I have the indoor wired camera as well so I decided to try out the outdoor wired camera as well and no regrets.The camera detects human motion at a 100% rate!My only qualm is the way the way they manufactured the mount. It’s magnetic and the cable is in the way to angle it the way I want..

It was a breeze to set up. A lot of good features in the app. I didn’t like that it only has one way of mounting via the magnetic mount. They should had a screw in version so it is more secure. It is overpriced for what you get. It isn’t that expensive to get certification for the ip rating. It would probably be a good price around $69.99.Will update on the next weeks.

Excellent viewing both day and night. Installation and set up took less than 10 minutes. Haven’t had any issues except once the connection came loose. Maybe from the wind. Would like to see the connection between the camera and the extension hose improve with some type of locking device. Also if if it could come in black, that would make the exception it a little less obvious. I love that I can set the areas I want to monitor so I don’t get a lot of faults alarms. Able to store hundreds of short videos, without paying for another subscription, which is awesome! Has been through some heave rains and cold nights without issues. Highly recommended!!

Frankly had some issues with this cam as out of the box the motion was not triggered (I ended up testing 7 cameras all the same). It turned out that I wasn’t going crazy and there was a problem with the firmware, support just wrote a new firmware update for these cams and it seems that the problem has been fixed!The camera is great, very sharp image! I like the lights, nice deterrent feature if nothing else! The fact you can run them from power is great so you are not having to recharge batteries that can be a pain dependent on camera placement! I have two S40 cams and apart from being the size of a house brick I have already had to shim up a ladder to recharge it. I am sure they work great in sunnier places but in the north east not so much! So I am replacing them with these! BTW they look a lot better in black and are less noticeable but black are only available from best buy, it would be nice if you could get black on Amazon or even directly from Eufy.

I chose the wired products, as opposed to battery, because I did not want to have to replace the batteries, even every 3 to 6 months. We live in Maine; it’s cold, outdoor batteries have it rough. I could do my own electrical wiring, so it was relatively easy. The installation of everything was straight forward. The outdoor cameras come with a 21′ power cord with USB adapter to 110V outlet. The indoor cameras come with an 8′ cord. I assume you can mix and match as the ends are the same. We did not have an outdoor doorbell at all, so I purchased a transformer from Amazon, tapped into an un-switched 110v line and it works perfectly. The wireless interior door chime, provided with the doorbell, is plug and play – just too simple. The setup to the Eufy App is straight forward and intuitive. I am using these cameras primarily to personally monitor our property for weather and/or environmental issues outdoors, and physical issues indoors while we are away for periods of time. I have read the reviews about the potential for somebody to remove or damage the outdoor cameras and/or reset or erase the SIM card. Is it possible? Yes; is it probable where we live, no. There are other security systems on the market, including Eufy, that minimize the risk of vandalism by utilizing screw on cameras and indoor recording. The C-24 cameras and hardwire doorbell are perfect for our needs. The picture, sound and light are exceptional in bright sunlight, dark of night, rain and snow. We are 100% pleased with this Eufy security/monitoring system.
