I use this product for my home office. I needed an inexpensive “hub” so I could easily use multiple monitors (HDMI connections), and I use an ethernet connector from one of my Eero wifi extenders to help with my connectivity. This has worked very well for me, and I thought the price was pretty reasonable. The only thing I would have liked was for it to include a 65w power connector. It does NOT come with its own power connector so you have to purchase that separately — even figuring in that cost, it was still not too bad (all in with separate power connector it was slightly less than $70 + tax) — for me, and if you can get it for less, I suggest go for it. The product does get a little warm to the touch but nothing crazy. I do suggest that you turn the computer power off at night so that it can cool down. Since I am using it for work from home still, I have it funning pretty much all day, and when I forget to turn off my laptop, it runs all night too. I like that with a good power connector it does charge my laptop as well all with one USB C connection. I have been using this product for about 2 weeks and it has functioned with no issues. BTW – I forget to turn my computer off about 80% of the time so does as I say and not as I do 🙂 Still even with keeping it connected to a computer (sleeping at night), I have had no issues for the two weeks I have owned it. (Amazon asked me about sturdiness but not sure how to rate that only owning it for two weeks as of this review — it definitely feels solid to me) — Also, this hub did not require me to do any driver downloads that I saw as possibility on other hubs. I would not be able to do that as my computer is a company computer and I do not have “admin rights” — this was one of main selling features for me as I did not want to buy a hub .. have to get drivers and ask my IT support who then tells me they possibly wouldn’t support it. That did NOT happen with this product which was literally up and running in as long as it took me to plug it in behind my home desk – minutes.

I bought this after having some issues with some USB-C hubs that I bought to connect my Macbook to my two monitors. The previous hubs struggled to hold a stable connection because the ports were loose. Furthermore, I found that the hubs showed evidence of overheating (the plastic case was warping). This Anker hub is much higher quality. The case is metal and thus ought to handle heat far better. The connectors fit nice and tight; it consistently gets a connection to my monitor. The cable itself is braided and has a very solid feel. Overall, I recommend this cable if you are looking for one that is high quality while still not being very expensive.

Great for mobile use ….. everything works with the iPad Pro as if it was made with it in mind ….Why the bad reviews? …. People aren’t using the correct wattage power source …. I found a minimum 45 watt required……. Anker suggests outright that a 65 watt minimum is required….. believe them ….. people are over looking that bit of info ….It’s missing an audio jack for pod cast monitoring …… but if you can live without that, it’s perfect for off-site mobile applications…… just by it ….. with an appropriate charger ……

Best cheap Samsung DEX dock for Galaxy Note 8. DEX even works without a power adapter connected (though it drains alot of battery) and it can be used as a usb hub on Anker’s USB-C power adapters. The aluminium body is very strong and the selection of ports is very useful. The ethernet is very convient and the pass-through charging is very fast. The dock was able to almost entirely remove the need for a bag of adapters. The duel USB-C ports are very useful for faster data transfers though only one works as a USB-C PD pass through.

I needed this product to work from home because my wifi did not have enough wifi connection to do Conference calls without interruptions. I really needed the ethernet port and it being a hub of usb c, usb a, hdmi, and a charging port made it easy for my laptop to support all of these. One this is the power output from the hub converts to 53watts but my laptop needs 65watts to charge at manufactures specs. While using it for 7-8 hours a day i did not notice battery drain, kept up all day. easy fix is that i can just plug my charger into my other usb c port if needed since the hub cleared up all of my ports. I always trust Anker’s products, they have been great to me and their customer service is excellent.

I purchased this to be able to attach USB flash drives (both USB-B and C) to my iPad Air 4. It does that and more. It also allows me to connect the iPad to the an HDMI cable to an external monitor or TV, and connect to the internet via the Ethernet port. It does all these things without any external power supplied. It’s important to note that the iPad charger supplied by Apple is not powerful enough to run this hub and to provide pass-through charging for the iPad at the same time. However, when used with a high wattage charger, such as the Anker PowerPort Speed PD 60, it will charge the iPad and even charge an iPhone connected to the second USB-C port and AirPods connected to the regular USB port, while fulfilling all its other functions. This makes it a great little attachment while traveling and having limited access to electrical outlets in airports and hotels.

I have an USB-C to HDMI and I have a separate USB-C to Ethernet, but the day came when I need USBC to Ethernet and HDMI (and more USB-A ports) Enter in this little jewel. I have an HP Envy, with a 4K display, no issue connecting computer via this adapter to my 85in 4K flat screen TV. It dose get warm when working but ok to touch. The bag is also nice to store the adapter when not in use.

Needed very compact USB C adapter with HDMI, GBE, PD, and a few functional USB A/C ports at minimum of USB 3.0 5gbps. This fit the bill perfectly, and being Anker, had above average chance of good quality and reliability. The only thing that would have been even better would have been 10g/3.1 Gen 2 speeds, but not actually critical in my use case.Confirmed full functionality on two devices, Spectre 13t on TB3 port, and ZBook on both TB3 & a 10g USB C port (hub from StarTech):✅ HDMI out at several resolutions✅ GBE at full speed on both LAN and WAN✅ PD in via two different chargers✅ Full USB 3.0 speed to NVME drive and a high-speed flash drive✅ Ability to charge my Note10 phone from both the A and C ports (which supposedly doesn’t work according the product description here!)✅ Ability to drive ALL devices at once with or without PD connected! (Suspect this works because of connection to TB3 ports on the laptop end, and may not work if the ANKER were connected directly to a USB C 3.1 gen 1 port).✅ Mildly warm when fully loaded, i.e., acceptable.Net, a great device for my needs, fits really well in my laptop case due to the narrow cross-section.One watch out: Had to update the RealTek lan drivers on my Spectre 13, otherwise caused a BSOD. Used the Win10 update package available directly from RealTek and that fixed the problem. While I don’t know in any detail why this was happening with the (very old) default RealTek lan driver in Win10, some folks hypothesized that it was a conflict with a wireless driver in either a Windows or an HP device driver update. Fixable, and not really related to the device directly as a cause, so no stars removed.Recommended.

Using with Thinkpad X1 G6. Works perfectly. This is slim and small form factor hub which does quite well at many different things. I have it charging my laptop, a GL-iNet Beryl (GL-MT1300) travel router via USB C PD, two iphones via USB 3.0 ports, and connected ethernet. Haven’t needed to use the HDMI port, and could have done without it in favor of an extra USB C or sd/micro sd reader. Would have preferred that over the HDMI port (like the CableMatters 7-1); otherwise, I’m very happy with the performance of another great Anker product. I have not experienced any overheating or heat issues with the hub. I also don’t know why the picture shows that the three highlighted ports (two USB 3.0 and USB C data) say they don’t support charging, when they clearly do. I had iPhone 12mini and iPhone 8 charging at the same time while plugged into the USB 3.0 ports and the USB C data was powering the travel router. I didn’t see power to my laptop cutting off during that time either.

Got to have some more options on a 2020 MacBook Air M1. 100% satisfied. Does not have the weird ethernet chipset used in cheaper adapters that was broken by Big Sur. Power passthrough works great. Buy this thing.
