I gave Anker a try for these because I’ve bought from this brand before for other things (usually batteries), and am always satisfied with the quality – I’m glad to know that they make quality earbuds as well. For my purposes and for my level of pickiness with audio – I just like for things to not sound tinny and to get loud enough to block out other sounds – they are great. I know there’s more nuance to audio that I can’t comment on, since I’m not a professional or anything. I just know that they treat me well for my needs, as far as how they sound. The design is comfortable, fits amazingly in the ear once you get used to kind of twisting them around. That brings me to the primary reason I purchased these, coming from simpler bluetooth earbuds (Soundpeats Truefree+) – I needed earbuds that wouldn’t pop out and roll away during a workout! So far I’ve not had them slip even the slightest bit, even after jogging and doing a bunch of jumping around. Glad to know that I can go back to focusing on my form instead of having to smush my earbuds back into my ears every few seconds. One thing I want to comment on for people in the reviews who say they do not get loud – I recommend NOT using the volume adjustment buttons on the actual earbuds, as they seem to have a volume setting independent of the one on your device.First, press the right earbud’s volume button as many times as it will go (it’ll give you a little trill when it won’t go anymore), THEN adjust your phone’s volume to something comfortable. It’s much better, in my opinion! If you try to adjust the volume using the earbud, it won’t observe any changes on the device, which leads me to believe it’s some sort of softwarething unique to these earbuds. Not the way I prefer to adjust my music volume, and I’m sure that goes for many other people as well, but I also do not prefer to adjust my audio’s volume via the earbud, so that is not a big issue for me.All in all, I’m 100% satisfied by my purchase.

    1. comfort – they did seem to hurt a little bit in the beginning but I found that if you adjust the flexible hook tips slightly outward, the pain was gone.2. sound – good to great for BT. Obv not as good as some wired buds/headphones.3. BT connectivity – I did find connection drops when phone is in back pocket, more so when in left back pocket. Seems to be a same problem with other BT i have owned like the Anker Soundbud Curve. It also does not auto connect if you are turning on the X2 from off state, meaning if you turn off the X2 via long button press vs. putting them in charging case to turn off and removing to turn on.4. Battery – my last point about the BT connectivity ties in w my issue on the battery. I seem notice shorter battery life between the case and the headset when I put the X2 in the charging case instead of turning off via button press. ie if I run the battery out of the buds, it lasts about 5 days at 1.5 hrs/day so about 7.5 hrs and the base seem to have about 3 charge cycles for the buds so this worked out to be about 20 days total. When I first started using the X2, I would put the buds into the base after each use and only got about 10-15 days before base and buds were drained. Also, in running the battery down in the X2 before charging, I noticed the right side would die out before left side. Android (Samsung) BT connection shows an estimate percentage of battery remaining and right side usually dies with the left side showing at least 40% remaining. Overall, battery life is very good though compared to the non-hook style buds. Will be contacting Anker and update my review.Update 11/16 – true to their always excellent customer support, they responded both to my posted question and email inquiry within 24hrs. They sent out a replacement unit instantly and just received yesterday. I’m upping from 3 to 4 stars for their response and support. I will update again after testing out the new unit and report back if 1st was just a fluke w battery issues. Nice work Anker/Soundcore! Thank you.Update 12/18 – I did find new replacement unit to have similar faster battery drain on the right vs. left. My guess is possibly b/c the right side is the BT connection to phone/player and the left BT connection is through the right side piece so you end up with faster battery drain on right. Just my guess. This is not really an issue if you regularly put the units in charging pod when not in use vs. my using up the battery before recharging. I have since gone back to regularly putting into charging pod after use and the replacement unit does seem to last about 20 days w 1.5-2 hr use each day. I’m upping from 4 to 5 stars for Anker/Soundcore’s excellent customer service and support and overall build + sound quality. Given the long battery life of unit and pod, the battery drain issue is not that big of a deal.

Great sound quality. Bass actually wasn’t as overbearing as I expected unless you turn on the bass up mode. I found that I could tune these with the equalizer in the Spotify app very well to my taste. For watching movies/video lips sync almost exactly which means it’s proper Bluetooth 5.0 and sound was still great even without the equalizer. Calls work well as people can hear me clearly and I can hear them clearly. I will say there is no active noise cancellation which doesn’t really matter unless you’re at very low volumes. Between the seal the bud forms and the volume of whatever I’m listening to I usually can’t hear anything outside them anyway. These, like any other earbud, can get uncomfortable over time. I found that it took some figuring to find which tip size worked best to prevent ear fatigue. Overall, these deserved a good review. I tested these alongside the Powerbeats 3, the predecessor to the pros, because they are in the same price range and these blew them out of the water even after messing with the equalizer to tune them up.

These headphones are awesome! They have great bass and the sound quality of the music is great. The music comes through clear with just the right amount of bass without distorting. The headphones are loud enough to cancel out sound but not completely to where you can’t hear anything around you, which to me is a good thing if your outside working out or you want to be able to slightly hear your surroundings. Phone call volume and the clarity of your voice to the person you are talking to comes through clear. The click button controls on the sides of the headphones in my opinion are better and easier to use than touch controls. The battery life is great, I wear them mainly to work out for 1 to 2 hours so I’m not sure how long they last playing for hours but I can say that I get a lot of uses out of charging the case. The headphones stay in your ear really well and take sweat well during a workout. The bluetooth also reaches far, I am able to leave my phone in another room and walk throughout my house and I can still hear what I’m listening to without it cutting out. The company also has great customer service, stand by their product, and honor their warranty! The first pair i received had a defect. They advised me on some ways to try to reset them but it was determined that the pair I had were defective. With no hassle they sent me out a brand new pair and a paid shipping label to send back my defective pair! Overall great headphones and great customer service!

These are quite usable, wireless earphones. The Bluetooth communication seems reasonably reliable and they take a charge quite well. Sound could be better, but that is probably the low end T.V. that is one source I use.The charging egg is both easy to use, portable and cute. Very happy it has a standard power connector, and even modern one, USB-C. The built in battery in the charging egg can give another 2 or 3 charges to the earphones, so no need for charging cables for a few hours. One nice feature is the ability to connect to multiple sources. (Not at the same time.) I have an Android phone, tablet and T.V. all with Bluetooth. I normally don’t use Bluetooth so that if I leave only one source on, the earphones will automatically connect to that source. Other than enabling Bluetooth on that device, I don’t have to manually re-connect them each time.I do have one minor complaint. My ears are a few millimeters taller than these over the ear phones are designed. Initially I found that the were mildly uncomfortable after a while. But, I have gotten used to them and they are no longer a problem. So I not only will keep them, but consider buying same model replacements when the time comes.Overall, I can recommend these for casual listening when you want cordless over Bluetooth.

They are so comfortable to wear and the neatest thing about the earbuds is you can use one ,while the other is charging in the case. There is volume buttons on both earbuds and mircophone for calling so it doesn’t matter which earbud you use.

UPDATE: Anker reached out and gave me a very simple tip for what I thought was a lack of bass: “Change the ear tip size.” Ha, I’ve always thought of those as just a factor for comfort and fit for different body sizes… didn’t think it’d actually change the sound that much.I put on the biggest size and then BOOM … the bass is back! So definitely make sure you experiment with ear tip sizes as, for me at least, they can def enhance the sound quality.__________________________________________________________________The fit and quality of these are great. Packaging is sleek and usage is a breeze.I recommend also getting the Soundcore Life Q10s or Q20s for home or work usage. Easily the best performance to cost ratio out there. Great sound quality and I love the Bass Up feature. And so cheap… soooooo cheap!

Update: the headphones were ringing but then I was like “hey anker, these headphones are ringing” and they were like “oopsie, let us fix that for you” and then the situation was fixed. 10/10 highly recommendI would definitely consider this bass outrageous. Headphones are super comfy & do a great job of noise cancellation so I won’t be wearing both of these outside at night lol. Very content with the sound quality when music’s playing.Unfortunately the right earbud rings whenever it’s not playing music. Even between songs or during a quiet part of the song. They’re so good otherwise-maybe I got a defective pair or something??The ringing this is kinda a dealbreaker for me though. It’s very annoying.

Had the older versions of these headphones with the wire in the back and they were great still have them as a back up pair and they are 4 years old. That being said these are far more comfortable and you don’t have to worry about the wire when I am working or working out.I love it that once you sync them to your device, once you take them out of the case they automatically sync. No need to hold down a button. The only thing that gives me pause with these and a lot of these style headphones is that if you loose the case you are basically out of luck as you cannot charge them with out it. With that being said I am very conscious of the case at all times.Cannot go wrong with Anker, I am a huge fan of their products.

Ok, so first things first. I AM OCD picky about earbuds from sound to build and all in between. So if something gets my thumbs up..it’s a solid buy. I spent over 2 hours examining the sound signature of these using classical, bass sweeps, hip hop, EDM, country, rock, and booty bass…THEY SOUND FANTASTIC. Honestly, I know Anker makes awesome power products but I was skeptical of these first given I had tried powerbeats pro and MIFO O7’s…these stood up to the powerbeats bass and took it up a notch with crystal clear and crisp highs and mids. The comfort is ridiculously secure and unintrusive. I could wear these all day they give ZERO canal bowl soreness in the ear. Sound 8s amazing..that deserves being repeated. The only improvement I can see they can do is make the case charge wirelessly..in the meantime it holds a more than sufficient charge and does so quickly with the USB-C.BOTTOM LINE: Buy these before spending 250.00 on powerbeats that aren’t even dustproof (ipx4) This is the champ to beat until someone does better…I wouldn’t be surprised if the only way these are beaten is if Anker updates them with wireless charging.
