Magnet strength on this is great. With naked iPhone 12 Pro Max it doesn’t move and then when I tried with my clear ESR Halo case, it was kind of hard to remove it from the mount. The mount itself seems a little suspect when your install it in your vent, lots of play and wiggle, but when you add the weight of the iPhone it stays in place and doesn’t move.I had been using an ESR Halo dash/window mount, but it came off my dash in the heat and have had it on the window since. It hasn’t fallen off the window but it’s too bouncy when driving. This Anker mount doesn’t move. I have it installed in my vent but it also comes with a dash mount that I may try because it is blocking the A/C vent and it’s hot in NY.I only tried it once with the power connected and it seemed ok, but I didn’t get it for the charging since I either use CarPlay or connect it to a faster charger when needed. I got it to be just a mount mainly but I guess on long drives I may use the included charging.

First of all, anyone saying the magnets on this aren’t strong enough either received a bad unit, or more likely is trying to use a non-magsafe case with this unit. If yo have even an extremely thin case between the phone and the magnets the hold won’t be enough to deal with bumps in the road. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max with a MagSafe case and this works great. I live in an area with some pretty rough roads and have hit some very big bumps and the phone has never moved on this mount. The mechanism to hold onto the car vent works brilliantly in my 2014 Dodge Ram and the stabilization bar at the bottom helps eliminate one of vent mounts biggest problems of pulling the vents downward. I honestly don’t pay too much attention the charging speed in the car as all I’m really wanting is to not lose charge as I use my phone for GPS and music in the car.

The magnet is very sturdy and provides a nice positive connection. As long as you have a mag safe compatible case with your iphone12 the phone starts charging right away. It’s too bad you have to buy a separate USB C charger for the car which is an added expense. The car kit does come with a USB C cable though. Overall I like the simplicity of the charger. I mechanically mounted it to my car with a vehicle specific phone mount adapter so I can’t offer any feed back on the vent connection or the self adhesive dash connection.

The magnet holds surprisingly well. I was a little unsure how it would work. It charges the same as any other car charger I’ve used. Much easier to mount and remove than the clamping arms type mounts. It also holds on the vent better than some others I’ve tried.

Once I installed it correctly on my air vent, I have no issues at all. With a MagSafe-compatible case it grips tight and and only lets go when I pull it off. Charging once attached to the correctly rated port is more than sufficient. One month in, I would definitely recommend to iPhone 12 or 13 users with good compatible cases.

This is a great item, at first I was put off by the design with the vent clip then another arm under it, but when I installed it I saw that lower second arm is to support the weight of the phone which prevents the phone from drooping down like the Mophie brand wireless charger does. This charger is also bright white and in my black car it really stands out, but with my phone on it I guess that doesn’t matter.The magnet is excellent! I have zero problems with my iPhone 13 pro Max even in landscape mode. If you’re using a case then it needs to be a “magsafe” compatible case to work with this mount, I’m guessing the other reviewers weren’t using the correct case because this magnet is really strong.My only real complaint is the wireless charging rate, I bought an Anker 27watt usb-c car charger which does charge at 27watts when it’s plugged directly into the phone, but when I tested the wireless charging I only averaged about 3 watts of power! I’m ok with this since I don’t want it overcharging or heating up too much, but if you need a faster charge while driving then I’d plug the cable directly into your phone, rather than waiting on the much slower wireless charging.

This helped with the weight of my phone and the potential for the Velcro to separate. Smaller phones may not have this separation issue with Velcro. I do plan to add another strip of Velcro a bit higher for when I need to use the map.The cord is a decent length but a longer cord may be necessary for the flexibility I am looking for.

But once on and secured inside the air vent, thing thing feels sturdy! Magnet is strong. I have absolutely no worry this is going to fall off anytime soon. You could angle it however you’d like to make the perfect viewing angle, just like the description says. Really do like this product!I am coming off the ESR MagSafe Car Mount, which was nice and worked for me for over half a year. I just found that one clipping to a plastic air vent piece falls off every so often, which is extremely inconvenient when you are driving. Also, after viewing this mount, that mount is too close to the vent while this one is really out there, which makes it nice for grabbing or directions.

For what ever reason there are very few mag safe chargers that offer an adhesive mount. I do not like the vent clips so this was a great option from a reputable brand.The charging speed may not be fast, however that’s fine with me.
