I purchased this Eufy security floodlight camera about 9 months ago and it is a wonderful, smartly designed product. However, for some reason, the device stopped communicating to my home wifi connection and the device spotlights “locked” in the ON state. Despite cycling 120V power and attempting to uninstall and reinstall via software, the device simply no longer worked. I contacted customer service and then attempted to further troubleshoot, but it was concluded the hardware was no longer operable and a replacement was needed. No worries, said their customer service group. Since you’ve not had the product for 12 months, it is fully covered by the warranty. They promptly shipped me out a brand new unit and a label for me to return the malfunctioning device after I received the new one. Customer service was very professional and about the best I’ve ever seen. They also documented everything via email and plan to send the defective device to their engineering group so they can investigate what happened.Despite the device malfunctioning, the overall experience left me 100% satisfied and extremely pleased with Eufy and their products. They are a tremendous organization and left me as a fan for life!

I love this flood light camera! I have a Ring flood light cam as well, and they each have their strengths and weaknesses. The contrast on the Ring is much better, but audio and video quality on playback is better on the Eufy. Plus, everything is recorded locally on the Eufy cam, whereas you require a cloud subscription with Ring to record. About 2x a year, kids come through our neighborhood to rummage through vehicles, and the Eufy gets a bit closer to the vehicles that are parked outside than the Ring. See the pictures to see the difference (they are about the same time of day, a day apart).

I replaced an existing old-school floodlight with the Eufy floodlight cam. Installation was straightforward and identical to what would have been the installation of a standard floodlight. This floodlight cam was my second Eufy product; I had previously installed and reviewed the Eufy Doorbell Cam, which I absolutely love. One of the most important differences in the Eufy ecosystem as compared to other brands is that with Eufy you do not need a subscription. This is HUGE in my opinion. With nearly all other brands, once you buy the hardware, you then have to pay an annual subscription so that your videos can be stored and accessed on their servers. This means someone else–not you–is controlling access to your videos. They can raise the price any time they want. They can change the terms. They can reduce the storage capacity. They can have a server outage and when you think you can access a video it may not be there. THEY are in control of YOUR videos and can charge you whatever they like as time moves on. Eufy operates with no subscription and all data is stored locally, in your full control.Quality of the camera is excellent. Crisp and sharp. Audio is excellent as well. In the video I have included you can see me being the good husband and taking the garbage out. You can hear the squeak of the garage door rollers that I haven’t greased in years. The Eufy app and it’s controls are outstanding, and this is VERY important to avoid constant alerts when a tree branch sways in the wind. The settings include a choice of “human only”, for example. Aside from a sensitivity adjustment, you can also select specific activity zones. This is very important if a street or sidewalk are within view as they are for me. By setting an activity zone that excludes the street and sidewalk, my cam is triggered only when someone or something enters my property–NOT when cars or pedestrians pass by on the road out front. An unexpected surprise: because we did not select “human only” we are picking up all sorts of night life we didn’t know we had. It does not wake us because our phones are silenced at night, but in the morning we see foxes, coyotes, racoons and bobcats we had no idea existing in our neighborhood. We even captured a video of a hawk swooping down and grabbing a poor rabbit in the middle of the night. We no longer let our cats out of the house! We have since added a Eufy indoor cam for when we go away and rely on a petsitter and housekeeper to come and go at the right times, and it is also an excellent product that I have reviewed separately.I highly recommend the Eufy security cam products. Very pleased with them!

Overall great floodlight/camera. I bought this as a replacement to the broken and dated floodlight for my backyard/patio. Easy to install (with existing floodlight wiring). Connected to my WiFi easily. Video recording is only in motion activated segments, and has 3.6Gb local storage(on board) . Not a lot, but enough to capture several weeks worth, I have over 100 clips saved on it, ranging from 10 to 30 seconds. The light is very bright, and can be adjusted, as well as the motion detetection sensitivity and zones. Alerts with great with notifications to my phone. Video quality seems good, though not crystal clear, which may just be due to my wireless router location not being ideal. Only thing is that I would like is to easily turn on/off the light with the wall switch from inside the house, but that powers the whole thing (will disconnect/turn it off the whole thing off). This functionality would be a bonus, it would be hard to design such a feature in, given the nature of the product and ease of install. I’ll probably change that wall switch to something more distinctive & harder to turn off, either by household members, or guests. I would buy another if I’d have a need for additional in the future, does everything I need for a reasonable price.

I have the Eufy cam 2c, the floodlight and the Eufy doorbell and of the 3 products the floodlight is definitely the best performer when it comes to motion sensitivity. It accurately alerts me anytime someone wanders onto my driveway or front yard. I have a slight issue with the color of the video being slightly reddish/pinkish in comparison to my other cameras, but Eufy support has told me that they will look into this. It’s not a noticeable enough coloration that it effects the function of the camera.A pro tip is to about placement. The ideal placement of the floodlight imo is above the middle of the garage (if you have a two car garage in the front of the house). If you mount it too far to either side of the house then it doesn’t really have the ability to patrol the whole front of the house because the motion sensing falls off around 15 feet. I was able to have my electrician draw power from the garage door opener so that I could mount the floodlight cam right above the middle of the garage.

First let me say I know eufy is very engaged with it’s customers so I hope they read this and provide some feedback. I recently purchased the wired video doorbell, the three camera eufy Cam E, system and the floodlight cam. Installation was fairly simply. Three issues with the floodlight cam.1. Wifi range is not NEARLY as good as their other devices. I am lucky that at this point I don’t need an extender but it’s close. This video doorbell is the closest of all the cameras and it has the weakest wifi signal by far.2. Does not use the Homebase storage. Not sure how this will affect usage down the road but wouldn’t it make sense to have this use the HomeBase storage?3. I am really disappointed in the color of the camera. It’s yellow and not bright at all. Compare in the photo I shared the balanced color and sharpness of the Cam E and the Floodlight. Honestly I think the floodlight looks terrible for $200. There should be a way to white balance the camera or some sort of auto white balance. The color balance on the RING is MILES ahead of the eufy floodlight cam.Another minor issue at this point is the motion detection. Seems very short but I know that is something I need to work with to get it the best it can be. But that color….UGH!!!One other issue is that when I got my Cam E three cam system one of the three cameras would only connect to wifi within maybe three feet of the Homebase. eufy sent a prepaid envelope to send it back and I guess they are replacing it. We will see. Overall my experience with eufy/anker products has been “fair to good” at best.— UPDATE after Eufy addressed responded directly to me after posting this review —–So I know usually you hear the bad on social media regarding companies and their products. This time I will share the good. I bought a number of items from Eufy to get security monitoring at my home. Floodlight Cam, Wired Video Doorbell, three Cam E kit. All in all about $700.Everything went well on the purchase, delivery, and for the most part the set up. Here were the two issues. 1. In the three cam E kit one of the cameras would not get the signal further than 2-3 feet from the Homebase. 2. The video color during the day on the Floodlight Cam did not meet my expectations. It was very “yellow” with no ability to white balance.Regarding the faulty Cam E I got a prepaid return tag and sent the camera back to Eufy. They sent me a replacement camera, expedited shipping, free of charge. It worked just as expected. With respect to the disappointment on the Floodlight camera they told me engineers are always working to make their products meet customer expectations and because this did not meet mine they offered a free Cam 2C. I accepted the offer and will be installing that today. Each time I got a personalized reply from Eufy that was specific and relevant to my concerns. NEVER did they make any excuses for their products. They owned every issue and in my view went above and beyond to resolve matters. No company or product will ever be perfect nor meet the needs or expectations of every person. BUT what customers really want is a company that is responsive, owns problems and issues, and offers solutions based on what the customer needs, not what the company needs. Even if it means they may lose money in the short term. From my view Eufy has done all that and it will be this, along with continued R&D as well as product innovation, that will keep them among the top choices for home security products. Thanks Eufy

This is an update to my previous review. My original unit had a connectivity problem. The company contacted me and replaced the unit – problem solved. I can say they have excellent customer service; very responsive. Now I can honestly say: this is both a great security light and surveillance camera. This is a great product: the motion detection is pretty good, the image quality is excellent and in full color, and the sound is excellent. I love the fact that you can program the light so that a low light can automatically turn on at sundown, with a really powerful floodlight turning on with movement. One of the best features is that everything can be fully controlled by your phone app- and from anywhere. If the camera detects activity, you receive a message on your phone app warning you- you can then both watch the video of the event, or you can watch live whatever is within range of the camera. In fact, you can be in another state and speak to someone delivering a package through the speakers in the light system. This is a must have, rather affordable and versatile system; with excellent customer service.

I ordered this Eufy floodlight camera after doing research for a while. The light, performance, and resolution are some of the best I have seen within models with the same features with the plus of internal memory and no fees. After several months of use, the dusk till dawn feature stopped working causing the flood light to blink non stop on and off day and night. I contact Eufy and followed the steps given by their customer service. After several trials the camera continued to do the same. I contacted Eufy again and provided them with a video and step by instructions as to what I had tried. Eufy replaced my flood light with a new one with my Amazon purchase invoice at no extra charge quickly. I am grateful and amazed as to how smooth the process was. I have an array of Eufy products in my home and I will continue to use them. Thank you Eufy and Amazon!

I have 4 camera sets A-ZONE. They recording 24/7 with good quality. I need one center camera with light motion. I red a lot about many types of camera. My choice was EUFY.I have this camera only 4 days.I am speach less.1. The quality 5 stars2. There is color video in day and night time. You can disactivate color video at night. When camera use motion detection at night, the very bright lights will be on and this camera will do colored video. Nice!3. You can hear the voice from the 6-8 meters from your proporty. Very clear! Nice. You can talk with people over clear microphone.4. you an keep light on for all the time or make special schedule by days and time.5. The message will be right away after detection bad people.6. The camera recognize human. When I arrive inside the car. my camera send message- STRANGER.7. SIREN! You can activate siren any time when you want from any place.8. This is a very important for me. I can have a total control of lights, siren, look video from other state. For example: I can see from NV what is in my home in Ca.9 .I was not sure that the camera can work without WI-FI. Yes! Example. You can control this camera from WI-FI place or (if you have unlimited plane) you do not need WI-FI to control camera. I use regular AT&T cellular access.10.I di not drill the wall. I have used junction box , direct regular outside cable under the garage door rubber edging and after inside garage direct cable to the triple with other cameras. I do not know how long this camera will work. But I am sure for 100% that I will buy the same second camera.11. I spend 5 minutes to activate camera with my WI-FI and may be 1 hour to install above my front garage door.12. No monthly fees.13. I wish to have more than 4gb.But this is not a problem for me.14. app works great. Never freeze! Easy to control cameraI love it.

We moved to Eufy devices from Ring about a month ago. Eufy in my opinion, has better build quality, and far superior load tkmes, since the video is stored locally. The ONLY area that I found Eufy lacking was the ability to have alerts form detected motion sound from a separate chime. This is an option via the ring Chime, and with Eufy, the only way I have found this as an option is when someone pushes the doorbell button on the doorbell cam. The doorbell cam can also alert Alexa when the doorbell is pushed, but no Google home?!?!?!? Either way, I do not regret the purchases I have made (Floodlight & Wireless Doorbell Cams). If they could add Google home devices for motion detection alerts as well as doorbell pressed, that would sure make my wife happy, and get her off my case about it!!
